Customer service at the hotel impressed most reviewers who called staff friendly, polite and helpful, although a few guests claimed to encounter occasionally slow or surly service.

Accommodation in Venice can be pricey, which is why many guests liked this hotel for its location on the mainland, where rooms are generally cheaper than those in the historic center. Reviewers said because the hotel was opposite Mestre station it was very easy to catch the regular and cheap trains across the bridge to the historic center of beautiful Venice. The journey took about ten minutes each way.

Plenty of guests were impressed with the standard of the rooms, although a few critics felt certain rooms had been more recently-refurbished and were more comfortable than others. There were claims of tired-looking furniture, dated curtains, stained upholstery, worn carpets and dimly lighting in some rooms. Moreover, thin walls reportedly enabled light sleepers to hear occasional noise from adjacent rooms.

Some reviewers claimed the free Wi-Fi network offered sluggish speeds or that there was a patchy signal in certain rooms.

A few critics reported plumbing and drainage issues in some rooms which occasionally resulted in unpleasant smells or a flooded bathroom floor after using the shower.
