About Ca' Fortuny

Ca’ Fortuny offers sophisticated, 3-star accommodation in Venice’s central San Marco quarter, only 230 metres from Palazzo Fortuny and five minutes’ walk to the attractions of Saint Mark’s Square. Rialto Bridge, theatres like La Fenice and Goldoni and water taxi stops can all be found within 600 metres.

Antique furniture, exposed beams and marble bathrooms in the 10 rooms and romantic suite are complemented with modern touches, including free Wi-Fi, LCD TV, air conditioning, minibar, tea & coffee facilities and complimentary mineral water. Almost all rooms have a jacuzzi bath.

Room access is easy with an elevator, luggage storage is available and guests can enjoy relaxing on the patio.

A rich buffet breakfast is served daily in Ca’ Fortuny’s dining room, or on the patio in good weather, and great coffee can be found nearby.

Venezia Santa Lucia train station is 15-minutes away, via the Rialto "C" vaporetto station.

Positive Reviews

Venice’s Major sites easily reachable.

From Ca’ Fortuny, San Marco, the Rialto Bridge and the Gallery of Academy are all easy pickings, while the neighbourhood is also home to many quality bars and restaurants.

Staff comes highly praised.

There must be something in the Venetian water — the staff members are all incredibly welcoming, speak English very well and are well-informed as well.

Rooms are spacious… and that jacuzzi.

Most bathrooms have a jacuzzi, which guests have loved to wind down in after a day of pounding the streets. The size of the rooms has also been popular, with the big beds and cleanliness also being high points.

Negative Reviews

Can be a little too warm.

Despite having air conditioning, a few instances of not being able to use this have meant guests have had to leave the window open, inviting noise and mosquitoes.

Old-fashioned charm, or just old?.

While some found Ca' Fortuny’s rooms to be a little worn and simply aged, rather than charmingly old-fashioned, most said it was well worth staying and some advised the fussy to look elsewhere — leaving more for others to enjoy.

You will get lost.

But so does everyone in Venice. Take the detailed directions with you and embrace it.
