Review summary

Summarized by AI from 400+ reviews

A rustic, historic retreat for budget-conscious village explorers.

This property welcomes travelers seeking a nostalgic stay within a unique 15th-century building. Its central location in the village provides easy access to the Forest of Dean, while the bar area serves as a vibrant social hub for guests. Visitors often praise the comfortable beds found in many rooms, and those looking for a more memorable experience should consider booking one of the property's four-poster options. While the atmosphere is rich in character, the current lack of on-site dining and ongoing refurbishment efforts define the overall guest experience.

Some guests mentioned: inconsistent service, unreliable Wi-Fi, dated decor.
